Description of Services: 

Since the 1980s, Palomar Health has recognized the need to partner with the community to help those who have been victims of violent crimes. The Forensic Health Services Department, consists of the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) and the Child Advocacy Center (CAC). This Department is located in San Marcos at One Safe Place Family Justice Center. Palomar Medical Center Poway hosts a second SART location.

Programs at both locations are available 24-hours a day to provide medical services for children and adults who have experienced sexual and/or physical abuse. We work closely with local investigative and prosecutorial agencies to provide complete state of the art assessments that may be later used in court. Experts in the field of child abuse and sexual assault are maintained on staff to respond and also provide consultation and education to other professionals and to the community.
