Interfaith Shelter Network
Description of Services:
Interfaith Shelter Network’s mission is to enable those we serve to move toward self-sufficiency by coordinating the efforts of participating congregations, social service agencies, and governmental programs in order to provide shelter and other resources to homeless individuals and families in the San Diego region.
Interfaith Shelter Network (ISN) helps San Diego’s homeless and those at-risk of homelessness to overcome barriers to permanent housing by providing case-managed, basic services. Our clients have a greater opportunity to achieve more permanent housing through ISN’s successful strategies.
Emergency Shelter:
Rotational Shelter Program is the only region-wide winter shelter program in San Diego and one of the few that serves families with children. Guests receive case-managed shelter, meals, and basic services at local congregations for up to eight weeks.
DV Transitional Housing:
El Nido (the Nest) transitional housing program provides a safe haven for homeless women with children who are fleeing domestic violence (DV). Participants receive trauma-informed, culturally-competent case management and counseling.
