If you are experiencing a medical emergency with your beloved pet and are also experiencing financial hardship, all that is required from the pet owners seeking help is a complete application to determine eligibility.
WHO QUALIFIES FOR FACE FUNDING?
- FACE provides financial grants for pets in need of emergency or critical veterinary care.
- Pets must have already been seen by a veterinarian within the past two weeks and your veterinarian has determined that your pet has an immediately life-threatening or critical care condition.
- Pets must have a good prognosis with treatment.
- FACE can only provide assistance to pet owners residing in San Diego County.
WHO DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR FACE FUNDING?
Please note that FACE cannot provide assistance for the following:
- Initial exam/consultation fees
- Routine or non-emergency care (i.e. Vaccines, Spay/Neuter, Cruciate ligament tears, etc.)
- Services that have already taken place and/or treatment completed prior to FACE approval
- Conditions requiring ongoing treatment (i.e. Diabetes, Addison’s disease, Heart disease, etc.)
- Conditions with a poor or guarded prognosis (i.e. kidney failure, etc.)
- Please note FACE can only assist pet owners up to two times.
