Chaldean-Middle Eastern Social Services
Description of Services:
San Ysidro Health offers services through the Chaldean & Middle Eastern Support Services (CMSS) program.
The program serves children, adolescents, adults, and older adults with serious emotional disturbance (SED) and/or serious mental illness(SMI), who are full-scope Medi-Cal beneficiaries, low-income, or uninsured.
CMSS provides specialized culturally, linguistically, and developmentally appropriate services for children, adolescents, adults, and families who are Middle Eastern refugees or immigrants.
The team of highly qualified staff members consists of bicultural, trilingual(Arabic, Chaldean, and English) psychiatrists, licensed clinical social workers, social workers, and case managers. The program embraces a holistic approach, integrating all aspects of a patient’s needs, to meet their stated goals and help them achieve full recovery.
Services are provided at designated school sites, home, and/or office and clinic settings. Telehealth is also used, when appropriate. Clinic services through the CMSS program are based at San Ysidro Health’s El Cajon clinic.
Referrals for the program are made directly via the phone and fax numbers listed below. Walk-ins are also welcome.
