Description of Services:
WRC is dedicated to providing the highest quality supportive services, counseling, shelter, and education in North San Diego County. WRC develops intervention and prevention programs designed to meet the needs of victims of sexual assault or domestic violence. A program has also been established for perpetrators. Domestic violence is a pattern of coercive, controlling behavior that can include physical abuse, emotional or psychological abuse, sexual abuse, or financial abuse (using money and financial tools to exert control).

SEXUAL ASSAULT
Sexual Assault is never the victim’s fault. Sexual assault is an act in which a person sexually touches another person without that person’s consent, or coerces or physically forces a person to engage in a sexual act against their will.

COMMUNITY SERVICES
The center has been providing education and outreach services to schools and communities in northern San Diego County since 1978. The center provides basic prevention education curricula for both domestic violence and sexual assault.
